The Mercure Hotel Cladding

Critical façade compliance and fire safety risks were successfully mitigated through the remediation and replacement of non-compliant external cladding at Liverpool Catholic Club's Mercure Hotel complex.

The project involved the removal of Symonite aluminium composite panels and PIR Formatherm insulation identified during a cladding risk assessment, and their replacement with approved, compliant façade systems, including approximately 4,200m² of solid aluminium cladding.

Delivered under a Council Fire Order and in accordance with the Building Code of Australia, the works restored regulatory compliance while enhancing the long-term safety and performance of the facility.

Extensive planning, stakeholder coordination and staged construction methodologies were implemented to maintain the continuous operation of the 104-room Mercure Hotel, the adjoining club facilities and gaming areas throughout the project, ensuring a safe environment for guests, patrons and staff while minimising disruption to day-to-day operations.
