MQU Sports Pavilion

The project delivers the redevelopment of the Macquarie University Sports Pavilion, designed by Crawfords Architects, to provide enhanced facilities for multiple sporting codes, local schools, and the University community.

The upgrade includes four new change rooms purpose-built to support the growing needs of the AFL Women's team, offering improved space, privacy, and comfort.

A new coaches box has been constructed with upgraded communication systems and enhanced sightlines to support team operations on game days. Player amenities have been modernised to provide professional training, recovery, and performance environments.

Additional function spaces have been introduced, enabling the University to host a wider range of events, community programs, and sporting activities, while enhancing the overall functionality and flexibility of the pavilion.

“Just wrapped up the inspection with AFL. They were stoked with the site and can now clearly visualise how everything is coming together, especially the coach's box, the view over the oval and the new change rooms. A big shoutout to your site team for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The AFL team mentioned it's the cleanest site they have come across during their other site visits today. Great work and let's keep up the momentum and continue with the current cleaning regime.”
