The project delivers construction works on four University of Wollongong buildings: 230, 232, 233 Innovation Centre, and 68 Koolobong, focused on upgrading the building envelopes to improve safety and compliance.
Works included the removal and replacement of approximately 8,500 m² of combustible cladding panels with new compliant finishes and materials.
The project involved engaging a Building Surveyor to achieve full compliance, including preparation of replacement plans, completion certificates, and Final Fire Safety Certificates. Additional works included installation of new sarking, framing, and firebreaks, and submission of pre and post remediation documentation to Wollongong City Council in response to “Notice of Intent to Give an Order” letters.
The project successfully delivered a safe, compliant, and durable façade across all four buildings.
